I never really know how to start these things. I’ve never been much of a writer. Originally, I started this blog to keep family and friends up to date with our pregnancy. Now that Mr. Granville is here I’ve decided to continue using the blog to keep everyone up to date on other parts of our lives.

Recently, we closed one TINY chapter of our lives and moved out of our 424 sq. ft. Rental house. No, I didn’t forget a one at the beginning of that number! Ellie has really been struggling with this move and spent the first week crying that she wanted to go home to sleep. I didn’t think I would miss the house until we saw how much Ellie misses it. We are now tackling a big and very exciting project that we will be sharing with everyone soon! We also bought a new car last week and then turned around and sold two of our other vehicles. If you know Austin, you know that buying cars has become somewhat of a habit for him. Selling them, not so much. When one couple came to look at our car, Ellie ran outside yelling at them “NO! YOU’RE NOT TAKING MY MOM’S CAR!!” She had a hard time letting it go and is still asking about it.

Austin and I are in the middle of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class right now and are really enjoying it! It has given us a lot of motivation to become more financially disciplined and pay off the medical bills that we’ve accumulated in the last 6 months. I’ve been listening to Dave Ramsey’s podcasts for the last few months and Ellie is now asking to listen to those while she falls asleep instead of an Adventures in Odyssey story or music. She heard him on the radio while we were somewhere the other day and said “mom, Dave Ramsey is on!” She also recognizes the theme song of his radio show! We can not wait to be debt free and begin building wealth! I think EVERYONE should go through the Financial Peace University class. Even if you think you handle your money well and don’t have any debt, this class has so much great information in it!

As if the last few weeks haven’t been difficult enough for Ellie, she came down with pink eye this week. Thankfully, her antibiotic has made a huge difference after just the first day. Please pray for her as we continue to make a lot of changes in the near future. It’s been so hard for me to watch her struggle with all of these changes lately.
